Carmen McCormick Stover was born on July 11, 1923 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Louis Hart McCormick and Juanita Montalbo McCormick, of San Antonio, Texas. She passed away on July 22, 2017, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Carmen was the eldest of six siblings and is survived by her sisters Peggy McCormick of Slidell, Louisiana; Mary Regan of Euless, Texas, and brother James McCormick, of Florida; having been predeceased by brothers Louis Hart Jr. ("Mac") and Ted. Carmen married Joseph Earl Stover, Jr. in 1948, moving to Arkansas, where they raised their family. Carmen was predeceased by her husband Joe, daughter, Margaret Ann ("Peggy"), and son, John. She is survived by granddaughters, Naomi Hobbs of Rincon, Puerto Rico; Elena Hampton-Stover of Baltimore, Maryland; and their father, Bryan Stover and his wife, Susan, of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Carmen was a lifelong Roman Catholic, devoted to her faith. Her earthly remains will be interred alongside her husband Joe's and daughter Peggy's in the Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church columbarium in Little Rock. Though Carmen loved flowers, she would have wanted memorial donations to benefit the charity of your choice. Arrangements are by Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth funeral home, where an online guestbook is available at www.griffinleggetthealeyroth.com.
