William Partee Tuberville, 92, passed away peacefully in Fayetteville, Ark., on June 15, 2017 after an extended illness. A resident of Magnolia, Ark., for over 70 years, he was highly involved in his community including leadership roles in the Magnolia City Council, Magnolia Rotary for over 50 years, Arkansas United Methodist Children's Home Board of Directors, the American Heart Association Board of Directors, Director, South Arkansas Development Commission, The United Way, Magnolia Boys Club, Magnolia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and Abilities Unlimited. He was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award from Southern Arkansas University, as well as the DeSoto Council Boy Scouts Distinguished Scout Award. He was very involved in his church, First United Methodist Church for over 68 years. As an US Air Force Veteran, he served his country in World War II as a bombardier and Flight Officer. He served First National Bank of Magnolia as Executive Vice-President as well as Secretary of the Board of Directors. He spent his life helping others achieve success in their lives through his professional and civic involvement. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Alma Jean Tuberville, son, Paul Tuberville and wife Kathy of Germantown, Tenn., daughter Angela Brasher and husband, Bill of Fayetteville. He leaves five grandchildren, Emily Tuberville and husband Kyle Taubken, Laura Tuberville, Susan Tuberville, Stephen Brasher, and John Brasher. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Ruby Tuberville and his brother, Oryen Tuberville. Visitation will be Monday, June 19, 5-7 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., on June 20 at First United Methodist Church in Magnolia with burial following at Memorial Park Cemetery.
