Guy Wesley Spangler

Guy Wesley Spangler, 78, went to be with his Heavenly Father on May 27, 2017. He was born on October 8, 1938 in Lima, Ohio. Guy graduated from high school in Gomer, Ohio. He was well liked by all the students and teachers. He went into the Air Force immediately following graduation. Guy retired from the military after serving for 20 years. Guy served in Vietnam for one tour. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy William Spangler and Sylveen Mildred Spangler; daughter, Anna Faye, second wife, Jalene Scott Spangler; and sister, Mary Fay McGlade. He is survived by his sister, Carolyn Cochran of Tucson, Arizona; sons, Guy Roy Spangler of Houston, Texas and Boyce LeMay Spangler of Sheridan, Arkansas; step-son, Michael Scott; two step-daughters, four granddaughters, and seven great-grandchildren. Guy is also survived by many friends from the Senior Citizen Center, the Bikers Church and Alcoholics Anonymous groups. He has been a recovering alcoholic for years. Guy has "fought the good fight". Memorial services are 12 noon, Monday, June 26, 2017 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at North Little Rock. Arrangements are by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home and Crematory. (501) 982-2136.
