Norma Jane Hutson

Norma Jane Hutson, 91, resident of Fairfield Bay, Ark., since 1990, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017. Norma was born on Dec. 18, 1925 in Atwood, Colo., to Orin Kimler and Margret Schwerer. Shortly after her birth, the family relocated to Macomb, Ill. On Sept. 8, 1946 she married ML Hutson in the First Christian Church of Macomb. The couple moved to Heavener, Okla., for a time before returning to Macomb where they resided until retiring to Fairfield Bay. She was an elementary school teacher in the McDonough County School System for 25 years. While in Fairfield Bay she was an active member of the Lions Club and a volunteer at the local food pantry. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Arthur, Robert and Donald, a fourth brother passed at birth; one sister, Mary; her daughter Sherry Egan and by her husband ML. Norma is survived by her son Ken Hutson and grandsons William and James Hutson; son-in-law Duke Egan; sister-in-law Jamalee Kimler; four nieces, Pam Drake, Sandi Pierson, Niki Ford, Julie Bacon and each of their families. Norma will be laid to rest beside her husband and daughter in Galesburg, Ill. Time and date yet to be announced.
