Frances Marie (Buss) Ginger, 87 years young, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away surrounded by family, Sunday morning June 25, 2017 at Circle of Life Hospice Home in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born on a Sunday morning, April 20, 1930 to Hye and Marie (Johnson) Buss of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her husband, William James Ginger. She is survived by her three children, William Lee (Sharon) Ginger of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Katherine Marie Ginger of Arkadelphia, Arkansas and Donald James Ginger of Fayetteville, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Shauna Marie Ginger of Portland, Oregon, Malia Joyce Putman of Bella Vista, Arkansas, William James Ginger of Rogers, Arkansas, Jessica Lynn Ginger of Bentonville, Arkansas, Will Jorgenson Ginger of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Cassidy Marie Ginger of Fayetteville, Arkansas; three great grandchildren, Skylar Cherith Putman, Jayden Charis Putman and Finn William Everett, as well as one brother, Vern (Linda) Buss of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota. She was proud of her of her German heritage and was a lifetime member of the Methodist Church. She was known as "Gram" to her grandchildren and their many friends. They were always welcome to her home for amazing meals and lots of laughs. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, painting, traveling and creating memories with family and friends. After graduation from Pequot Lakes High School, Frances went to stay with her sister, Lil, in Paullina, Iowa. There she met and married Jim Ginger on his farm in 1948. They farmed in Gaza, Iowa until 1952 then moved to a ranch outside Booneville, Arkansas. In 1958, they sold their ranch and moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas. The Celebration of Life service will be at 10:00am Monday, July 3, 2017 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, 201 North 12th Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas. It will be followed by interment at Fort Smith National Cemetery. There will be a reception afterward at St. Paul United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
