Max Thompson

Max Thompson 82, of Vilonia formerly of Little Rock, went to be with his Lord, June 28, 2017. He was born to parents, Chester and Ruby Blount Thompson on September 2, 1934 in Scranton, Arkansas. He was an Army Veteran, worked and retired after 38 years of service, as a Fork Lift Driver from Kroger Distribution Center. He was also a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Vilonia. His favorite pastime in later years was spending time with his grandsons. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Solan and Neal Thompson; three sisters, Neola Sory; Ina Jean Parker; and Gathaleen Lueders. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 56 years, Donna Kincannon Thompson; son, Mark Thompson of Little Rock; daughter Debra Rail (Steve) of Vilonia; grandsons, Zachary and Jason Rail of Vilonia. He is also survived by one brother, Donald Ray "Pete" Thompson (Henryetta) of Scranton, Arkansas; Sister, Janina Greenlees of San Antonio, Texas. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church 50 Eagle Street Vilonia, Arkansas at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service also at the church. Dr. Randy Cloud and Rev, Kenneth Thompson will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Vilonia Cemetery. A special thanks to the Arkansas Hospice Nurses and Staff for their kindness and care.
