Ronald Tull "Ronnie" Jones

Moffat County resident Ronald Tull "Ronnie" Jones, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017 at his home in Craig, Colo. He was 67. Upon Ronnie's request, no local services will be held. A celebration of Ronnie's life will be held at a later date in Hot Springs, Ark. Ronald Tull Jones was born the son of Gomer Evans and Dolly Joyce (Tull) Jones on Feb. 21, 1950, in Little Rock, Ark. He spent his childhood and attended public schools in Little Rock and Pine Bluff, Ark. Ronnie was employed with K-Mart as a sporting goods manager. During his 24 years of employment, Ronnie made many lifelong friends. When he retired from K-Mart, Ronnie started Gray Stone Guide and Outfitting in Craig, Colo. Over the years, Ronnie enjoyed sharing his experience and love for hunting with his clients. Among many interests, Ronnie was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and making people laugh. He also loved watching sports and riding horses. Ronnie will always be remembered as a kindhearted man who would give his shirt off his back to help someone out. He will be greatly missed and forever loved by his family, close friends, and many hunting clients. Ronnie is survived by his mother, Dolly Jones Henson of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; one brother, Gary Jones and his wife, Mary of Denton, Texas; one niece, Shea Blauvelt and a great-niece, Tessa Metzger both of San Carlos, Calif. Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Gomer Evans Jones. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ronnie's memory to the American Heart Association in care of Grant Mortuary.
