Susan Warshawsky, 79, of Bella Vista passed away Oct. 10, 2017. Born Sept. 5, 1938 in Burbank, California, she was the daughter of George and Geraldine Butrovich. Shortly after graduating from Notre Dame Academy in Los Angeles, Susan began a long working career at Douglas Aircraft. Her early training in computer programming at Douglas would eventually lead to jobs ranging from satellite navigation software to database and systems analysis. Her final working years were spent at Walmart, a company she loved, and the one that brought her to Arkansas in 1994. Susan also found time to raise three sons and obtain a law degree from Western State University. She was an avid traveler and was particularly proud of her road trip through Canada to Alaska with her truck and trailer. Prior to that, she developed a special love for Italy while living and working there for Rockwell in the 1980s, and toured Europe extensively. Trained on the piano and the organ from an early age, Susan was a talented musician who loved to play Beethoven and Bach. She was also a self-taught artist who created some notable paintings. Susan loved pets and took wonderful care of her many cats and dogs through the years. She was predeceased by her parents and her brothers, John and George. She is survived by her brother, Richard, her sons, James, Robert, and Steven, and by her grandsons, Joshua and Conor. It was always Susan's wish to be interred with her parents in California. A graveside service and burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 27th, 2018.
