Dorothy Lou Duty Martin

DOROTHY LOU DUTY MARTIN, 84, of Little Rock, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2017 after a long illness. She was born Oct. 18, 1933 in Clarksville, Ark., graduating high school there. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Dero and Fannie Duty; a brother, Dero "Bud" Duty; and a sister, Theresa Duty Jones. She is survived by her husband, Bennie Martin of Little Rock; sister, Francis Skaggs (Lester) of Clarksville; daughters Rebecca Martin Hamner (Buddy) of Little Rock and Linda Martin Arrington (Jeff) of Montgomery, Ala.; grandchildren April Hamner Hicks (Jake) of Okinawa, Japan; Paul D. Arrington of Tyler, Texas; Leah M. Hamner of Maumelle; and Mark W. Arrington (Chelsea) of Charlotte, N.C.; great-grandchildren Samantha and Austin Hicks of Okinawa; Liam Arrington of North Carolina; in-laws Connie Staley (Eddie), Elaine Hickman (David), Patsy Bridges, and Jim Martin (Becky); and nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 11a.m., at Mabelvale United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bob Marble officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
