Brenda Malone

It is with great sadness that the family of Brenda Malone announces her passing after a 2-year illness with ovarian/fallopian tube cancer, on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at the age of 59 years in Fort Worth, Texas. Brenda is survived and will be forever missed by her husband Bernard Louis Malone III, and her two daughters, Chloe Elise Malone residing in Winter Park, Florida and Sophia Elizabeth Malone Kuschel and son-in-law Theodore Kuschel III, residing in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Brenda was born on June 22, 1958 in New Orleans, and graduated from Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport with a Master's Degree in Elementary Education Administration. She worked as a certified school librarian, classroom teacher and as a school education director. Brenda found a passion in teaching pre-K age school children, and was also an accomplished artist. She is also survived by her father, Joe W. Cunningham, sisters, Nancy Jane Cunningham, Joelyn Cunningham West and brother-in-law, R. Gregg West, nieces, Karlin West and Amber and Ilia Ivanov, cousin, Fay Herzog, Aunt Evelyn Herzog Dourrieu, in-laws, Mattia and Gerald Didier Sr., Gerry Malone, Cynthia and Jerry Hunt, Elizabeth and Carl Troia Sr. She is predeceased in death by her mother, Cora Herzog Cunningham, Frederick Herzog, Tony Herzog, father-in-law, Bernard Malone Jr., and brother-in-law, Michael David Malone. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday November 9, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Baton Rouge, La. with church visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. and interment at Roselawn Cemetery. Pallbearers are Carl Troia Jr., Tim Hunt, Jacob Hunt and Ilia Ivanov. Memorial donations in honor of Brenda may be made to St. James United Methodist Church, 321 Pleasant Valley Dr., Little Rock, Ark. 72212.
