Nada Joy Clemons

Nada Joy Clemons, age 92, passed away in Fayetteville on November 5, 2017. She was born December 18, 1924 in Hiwasse, AR to Earl Chatman and Lona Fay (Calhoun) Nichols. In 1953 she earned a Bachelor's of Science from the University of Arkansas and in 1966 a Master's in education from S.W. State University in Weatherford, Okla. She taught school for 40 years in MO, AR and OK school systems. She was loved by her students and family. She is preceded in death by both parents; Husbands, Doyle Clemons and Raymond Campbell; son, Clay Earl Slinkard and sister, Adah Green. She is survived by her son, Larry and Sue Slinkard of Jane, Mo.; daughter, Jana and Mark Hitt of Fayetteville, Ark.; grandchildren, Jimmy, Cory, Luke, Matt, Shelby, Ashley; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the Rollins Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, November 9, 2017.
