Leila JAne Hunter

Leila Jane Shelton Hunter was born to Clarence and Evelyn Elizabeth Shelton August 9, 1944 in Little Rock, Arkansas and lived her life loving the Lord and helping others until He called her home. Leila was preceded in death by: her husband, Theodis Hunter; son, Derrick Hunter; parents, Clarence Shelton Sr. & Evelyn Elizabeth Gurley Shelton; sister, Annie Louise Shelton; and brother Allen Shelton. Her loving survivors include her: daughters, Mtonya Hunter-Lewis (Eddie), Rosetta Santiago, and Cassandra Veasley (Reginald); sons, Eric Hunter and Brian Hunter (Tamara); sisters, Evelyn Grundy, Martha Jones (Alfred) and Barbara Bailey (Len); brother, Clarence Shelton Jr.; grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; her aunt, Rosie Tidwell; and two lifetime friends, Louise Gill and Kathy Halligan. Home going services will be Saturday, November 11, 2017, 11 a.m., at Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, 501 East 16th Street, Little Rock, Ark. 72206.
