Charlene Gay Wenkus

Charlene Gay Wenkus, 72, of Fayetteville died Nov. 10 in Fayetteville. She was born on Oct. 21, 1945 in Santa Monica, Calif., to Gae Burgess and John Francis Shea. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Phillip Wenkus and her parents. She is survived by her daughters Mary Delap (Dax), Veronica Wenkus, and Rachel Luper (Larry). Three grandchildren Clara, Anna and Luke Delap. Her siblings, Nancy Knox (Skip), Jeanne Schuler (Steve), John Shea, Suzy Gibson (Scott), Barbie Shea and Natalie Meyerson (Jason) and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 20 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fayetteville. In lieu of flowers and cards, please make a donation to the St. Joseph school scholarship fund.
