JAMES THOMAS HOGUE "BUCK", age 81, of Maumelle, Ark, passed Tuesday, Nov. 14 in his home, surrounded by loving family and friends. He was born Feb. 29, 1936, and grew up in Winchester, Ark.. James was the oldest of 12 children. He was a United States Air Force, 20 year Veteran, attaining the rank of Master Sargent before retiring in 1977. He served in Vietnam as an aircraft mechanic in the Strategic Air Commands, 97th Bomb Wing. James continued to serve his community, leading Biotechnology and Facilities management for private and military hospitals. He loved to hunt, fish, and tell stories with family and friends. James was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson B. and Katie P. Hogue, and two brothers. He leaves a wife, Jan Hogue, a daughter, Gwen Hogue Casson, a son, Greg (Mavie) Hogue, six grandchildren, James (Jennifer) Casson, Emily (Alan) Casson, Cable (Emily), Millie, Madeleine, and Artemis Hogue and five great-grandchildren, Scott, Chloe, Elizabeth, and Thomas Casson, and Tuesday Stiles. Brothers and sisters include Ruby (Woody – Deceased) Amerson, Pat (Richard – Deceased) Gill, Benny (Theresa) Hogue, Carolyn (Ed) Barrie, Martha (Sam – Deceased) Nichols, John Hogue – Deceased, (Phylliss), Peggy (Gary) Betnar, Bill Hogue deceased (Carolyn), Randy Hogue, Kathy (Leroy) Pittillo, Kenny (Cheryl) Hogue. A celebration of life is schedule for Dec. 9, noon, (location to be announced) followed by grave side services, 2 p.m., at Jefferson Cemetery on Hwy 138. east of Winchester, Ark. All are welcome to attend and celebrate James's life. In Lieu of flowers please make contributions in James' honor to the Alzheimer Association or a charity of your choice.
