Evelyn Louise Carty

Evelyn Louise (Burke) Carty went to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 25, 2017. She was born on February 24, 1924, to parents, Dosie and Alma Burke in Denison, Texas. She married James Vernon Carty and live with him until his death after 63 years of marriage. They had two children, Vicky Ann (Carty) Chaloupka and Jimmalea (Carty) Sphar who predeceased their parents. She loved the Lord and was a member of Landmark Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Arkansas. For the last several years, she has been a happy resident of The Manor Assisted Living facility in Little Rock. She is survived by her nephews, James E. Burke (wife Carole), J.D. Burke (wife Cheryl) of Rowlett, Texas; her son-in-law, George Chaloupka of Heber Springs, Arkansas; grandsons, Jimmy Van Chaloupka (wife Elaine) of Searcy, Arkansas; Pete Chaloupka (wife Sharon) of Beebe, Arkansas; Terry Chaloupka (wife Kelly) of Melissa, Texas; and four great-grandchildren. Services to celebrate her life will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108.
