Loal Bernard Bell

LOAL BERNARD BELL, 92, of Little Rock, Ark., went to be with his Lord, on Monday, April 9, 2018. He was born on September 18, 1925, in Vandervoort, Ark., son of the late Carl Bernard and Jessie Marie (Cecil) Bell. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Richa Dean Bell; his sons, Ray and Larry Bell; and a daughter-in-law, Wilma Bell Shue. He was Tech 4th Grade Company, B16th Signal Operation Battalion, Army veteran, having served in Japan and the Philippines. He was a radio operator and sharp shooter. He received the Victor Ribbon and Good Conduct Medal. Loal was a member of South Highland Baptist church for the last few years and a long-time member of Rosedale Baptist Church. Mr. Bell was an EEG Tech at the VA Hospital for over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing for crappie just anywhere. His family and church were very special to him; and he really enjoyed the family holidays at his daughter's home. He was known for taking the first slice of his wife's pecan pies to "make sure it was good." Survivors are his daughter, Kay Fair Keltner and daughter-in-law, Linda Stanford; grandchildren, Hollie Kennedy and husband Bob; Ray Bell; Shana Banks and husband Gene; Selena Newby and husband Charlie; Joey Fair and wife Christina; and Amy Hopper and husband Cody, and many great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. The family will receive guests from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, with Brenda Sellers, Dignity Celebrant, officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. The family would like to offer a special thanks to his care giver, Delores Jenkins and Hospice Home Care.
