Margaret Marie Dixon

Margaret Marie Dixon (Nana) age 85, of Curtis, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018, in Little Rock. She was born May 13, 1932, in Hollywood (Clark County) to the late Luther and Susie Jones. Marie was a member of Curtis Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy W. Dixon and Cecil Kemp; one brother, Luther Earl Jones; one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law. Survivors are her children, Roy Glen (Laura) Dixon of Baltimore, Md., Yvonne (Jim) Emmons of Phoenix, Ariz., Lynn (John) Bursley of Athens, Tenn., and Marilyn (Ricky) Griffin of Arkadelphia; seven grandchildren, Christina Dixon of Austin, Texas, Amber Moreau of Baton Rouge, La., Allyn Bursley of Johnson City, Tenn., Robby Bursley of Shreveport, La., Tobey Bursley of Athens, Tenn., Blair Burton of Bradley, Ark., and Drew Griffin of Hot Springs; three great-grandchildren, Aubree, Allie and Hank; three sisters, Leola (Arvin) Booy of Donaldson, Susie Pearl (Stephen) Wilbourn of Brownfield, Texas, and Floy Kusturin of Gurdon; three brothers, James B. (Ann) Jones of Gurdon, Horace W. Jones of Springfield, Ohio, and Harold W. (Betty Lee) Jones of Gurdon; and one sister-in-law, Betty Jo Jones of Hooks, Texas. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 13, at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at Third Street Baptist Church, with Bro. James Guthrie and Bro. Hal Dixon officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Allyn, Robby and Tobey Bursley, Drew Griffin, Josh Moreau and Matt Burton. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Michael Ford, Dr. Noland Hagood, Dr. Alexander Orsini, nurses and staff of Arkadelphia Medical Clinic and Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.
