Robert Edgar Tyler, 71, of Little Rock, passed away April 11, 2018, with his family at his side. He was born July 18, 1946, in Little Rock, to C. Hendrix and Mary Elizabeth Collins Tyler, who preceded him in death along with his sister-in-law, Margaret Nell Tyler. He attended Hall High School, and graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Bob was Chief of Right of Way with the Arkansas Highway Department. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Anne Raley Tyler; daughters, Kristen Trigg and husband, Kevin, of Sherwood, and Heather Tyler of Maumelle; brother, James Tyler of Little Rock; granddaughters, Alexandra Trigg and Kelli Trigg, both of Sherwood; and niece, Sheri Ann Kennedy of Tacoma, Wash. Bob loved spending time with his grandchildren. One of his favorite pastimes was cooking, and he frequently entertained many family members at his home. He also loved hunting, often spending time at his hunting club and cigar club. Unfortunately, Bob was forced to fight through several disabling illnesses, and like the person he was, fought with bravery and courage. He was so very proud of his family and everyone who knew him loved him. He will be sorely missed. Visitation will be Friday, April 13, at 6 p.m., followed by the Rosary at 7 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Msgr. Francis I. Malone at Christ the King Catholic Church on Saturday, April 14 at noon, followed by interment at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church or to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home, 501-224-2200. Robert's online guestbook may be signed at www.littlerockfuneralhome.com.
