Jimmie Ray Pawlowski, (74), of Lonoke, Ark., passed away on Saturday morning, April 21, 2018. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Jim and Rachael Pawlowski, and sister Jackie Newman. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Pawlowski, their son Stacy, daughter-in law Shonda, and their children Micah, Conner, and Andrew. He is also survived by a number of family members and friends. Jimmie graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1961. He served in the Army National Guard for six years. He was a Firefighter at the Little Rock Fire Department for 26 years. He was a Mason and a Shriner. He was a member of Steel Bridge Baptist Church in Lonoke, Ark. Jimmie will be remembered by his family and friends as a devoted husband and father. He loved his family more than anything else and was to celebrate his 50th anniversary to Sandra on May 3. He loved to hunt, fish, and spent many years as an avid bowler. He spent his free time rooting on the Minnesota Vikings, talking on the phone every morning with his friends, and eating big bowls of ice cream. He was always there to help anytime anyone needed him and was always ready to make someone laugh. Jimmie loved the Lonoke Jackrabbits and could be found on the sidelines of every Jackrabbit game he could attend. He spent the last eight years volunteering at Lonoke High School and was loved by the Students and Faculty alike. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 25th at Steel Bridge Baptist Church. Visitation will be at 9 a.m., one hour prior to service. Burial will follow in Lonoke Cemetery.
