Elza Richard Tucker "Mr. Lowell", 100, of Lowell entered Heaven, Monday, July 30, 2018 at Circle of Life Hospice House in Bentonville. He was born July 13, 1918 in Lowell and was the son of Minnie Austin and Walter "Tobe" Tucker. He served as Staff Sergeant in the 2nd Armored Division "Hell on Wheels" under the command of General George S. Patton in the US Army. He also worked as a rural route mail carrier, served as Post Master of Lowell, and helped organize and worked with the Lowell Fire Department for many years. He also served on the Benton County Quorum court in 1966, City Council for 10 years, Planning Commission 29 years, the City of Lowell for 10 years, was a deacon at the First Baptist of Lowell since 1950, worked at and helped organize the Lowell Museum, and popped popcorn at Arvest Bank in Lowell for 10 years. He was also honored to have a school in Lowell named after him, Elza R. Tucker Elementary. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Doris Tucker, son, Richard Tucker, and son, Timothy Tucker. Elza is survived by: granddaughters, Terra Stanley, of Rogers; Tamara Vaughn, of Lowell; Kimberly Gardner of Arizona; and Teresa Crittenden of Springdale; grandsons, Trevor Tucker of Lowell and Gerald Tucker of Springdale; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Lowell. A celebration of Elza's life will be held Tuesday at 10am at First Baptist Church of Lowell with Rev.
