MR. GRANT LEWIS COCHRAN was a professed Christian, born March 8, 1943 in Little Rock, Arkansas to William McKinley Cochran and Chaney Delois Cochran. He parted this life on Monday, July 30, 2018. He is survived by his daughter Tiffany Joy Cochran of Los Angeles, a brother William McKinley Cochran, a niece MeChe Cochran, and a host of cousins and many friends. He was an esteemed leader. At Horace Mann Sr. High School, he was elected as Junior and Senior class president and represented his high school at a youth conference to the United Nations. He attended Wilberforce University in Wilberforce, Ohio, there he was elected Freshman and Sophomore class president. He is a graduate of Los Angeles Southwest Community College in Los Angeles, California. He is a 1974 graduate of California State University at Dominguez Hills. He was a devoted and faithful member of Bethel A.M.E. Church of Little Rock, Arkansas for many years, with many church affiliations and committees for youth activities and more. He was a lover of young people from California to Little Rock. He was full of devotion, dedication, and support. He organized a Brotherhood club in Los Angeles, which lead to crime eradication. In 1978, he organized and sponsored a Little Rock youth organization called MAYO, with over 200 members. His professional services: Carriers Supervisor at the Los Angeles International Airport; Representative for National Life Insurance Company; Night supervisor at camp C.B. Afflerbaugh Correctional Facility Probation Department County of Los Angeles; Entrepreneur and Manufacturer of "Grant Cochran the Name in Air Freshener;" Personnel Supervisor for the state of Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration Office of Personnel Management. Mr. Grant Lewis Cochran was a devoted, dedicated, supporting and loving friend and parent. His achievements and stature will live on for many years to come. Mr. Grant Lewis Cochran's service will be held at: Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 815 West 16th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72202, Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 11 a.m.
