Kenneth "Kenny" Lowell McKee

Kenneth "Kenny" Lowell McKee, age 65, of Hot Springs, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2018. He was born on Jan. 11, 1953, in Detroit, Mich., the son of J.W. McKee and Opal Boatman McKee. On Dec. 27, 1980, he married Gail Rowe. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Rita Hicks. Kenny was a faithful member of Glory Barn Church. After high school graduation, he attended Arkansas State University, where he was a member of Delta Theta Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha. Kenny transferred to Henderson State University where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 1978 and he worked for many years in computer software. He was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan. Kenny was a vegetable gardener and many family members and friends were able to enjoy the fruits of his labor. He loved his family and friends, but most of all, he loved Jesus. Kenny is survived by his wife of 37 years, Gail McKee of Hot Springs; one brother, Don McKee of Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, William Lawson and Greta Creekmore of Tulsa, Okla., and Gwen Magyar of Maitland, Fla.; two uncles, Marvin Boatman of Hot Springs and Euell Boatman of West Lafayette, Ind.; two nephews, Matthew McKee of Richmond, Ind., and Mark McKee of Atlanta, Ga.; five nieces, Sarah Ricci of Atlanta, Ga., Kate Creekmore-Deckard and Jesse Peak, both of Tulsa, Okla., Morgan Creekmore of Denver, Colo., and Amy Hicks of West Lafayette, Ind.; and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Bro. Jess Gideon officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Monday evening.
