Roy L. Mathis

Roy L. Mathis of North Little Rock passed away Monday, August 8, 2018. He retired from Baptist Hospital and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was born in 1938 to the late Esker and Nellie Mathis. Roy was preceded in death by his sisters: Marie Bevers, Charlene Poe; one brother, Marvin Mathis. He is survived by his brothers: J.T. Mathis and Billy Mathis; a sister Betty Williams; six nieces and 12 nephews. Roy had many friends at the Hays Senior Center with whom he enjoyed fellowship and working puzzles. We want to thank the staff and nurses at 6C and 6E at the VA in Little Rock for their compassionate care of Roy. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, August 8, at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 I30, Little Rock, Ark. with Reverend Gary Ingold officiating. Visitation at 10 a.m. prior to the service.
