Mary Margaret Daniel Ellis

Mary Margaret Daniel Ellis, aged 84, went to be with the Lord Friday August 10th, 2018. She was born July 7th, 1934 in Little Rock, Ark. She had battled dementia and vascular disease-related problems for the latter part of two years. The focus of her life was her family. Up until her faculties started to fail, she kept herself involved in the lives of all her family: her two sons, their four children and families and the many extended family members who relied on "Aunt Memzies" for advice. She had the God-given talent to run multiple households at the same time by one, single telephone. In her prime, it is widely believed she could recite more phone numbers from memory than anyone else in the county. For 65 years, Mary Margaret was married to her high school sweetheart and star of the Laneburg High School basketball team, Dody Ellis. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Grace Daniel, her siblings Ed, Arl, Harry and Ben Daniel, and Mildred Pearson. Survivors are her husband of 65 years Lawrence Dearl (Dody) Ellis; son Dan W. Ellis of Sherwood, Ark., and spouse Terri, son Mike D. Ellis of Laneburg, Ark., and spouse Leigh; grandchildren Erica Ellis Westmoreland and spouse Grant, Ryan Ellis and spouse Krystie, McKenzie Ellis Walker and spouse Brian and Reagan Ellis Coture and spouse Andy; great-grandchildren Madyson and Rylee Ellis, Joe, Claire, Ryan, and Hannah Walker. Visitation for Mrs. Ellis will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home in Prescott, Arkansas. Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Harmony United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home of Prescott.
