Peter Jimenez

Peter Jimenez, 89, passed away on June 20, 2018 at his home in Rogers. Peter was born in New York on March 10, 1929 to Pedro and Amelia Soler Jimenez. He was a long time resident of Roxbury, New Jersey, having grown up in the Bronx. Peter was a devoted family man who enjoyed watching old movies and his beloved "New York Yankees." He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Xiomara "Vicky" Jimenez; and their four daughters, Tania Haycock, of Kinnelon, New Jersey, Terry Furbee and husband Todd, of Hillsborough, New Jersey, Tina Jimenez-Shirkey and her husband Robert of Elm Springs, Arkansas, and Tricia Jimenez-Ecklyn of Oak Ridge, New Jersey. He was the proud "Pop Pop" of nine grandchildren, Deanna Jimenez, Jimmy, Sarah, Marisa, Brooke, Sean, Jason, Emily and Olivia. Peter was also known by many as "Uncle Pete" especially his dear nieces and nephews, including Richard Wargocki, who lived with Peter and Xiomara for several years. Rest in Peace our amazing Dad; we love and miss you every day! A memorial service will be Saturday, September 1, at St. Mary's Church in Wharton, New Jersey.
