Emmett Clay Hinson

Emmett Clay Hinson, 78, of Little Rock, passed away August 13, 2018. Born in Des Arc, Arkansas on December 15, 1939 to the late Emmett and Dorothy Hinson. He graduated from LSU and was a U.S. Navy veteran and an architect with the Cromwell Firm in Little Rock from which he retired after 44 years of service. He was a member of the Arkansas State Golf Association and a volunteer at the Little Rock Airport. Among his accomplishments was running in the Boston Marathon. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathleen Ann Hinson; daughters, April Ann Scholem (Fred) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Amanda Pengille and Jessica Hinson, both of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Alyson Laws (Robert) of Oregon; sister, Nancy Milrany of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Noah Bobadilla, Sierra Bobadilla, Jimmy Pengille, Billy and Millie Pengille (twins), Adelaide Pengille and Will Laws; great-great-grandchildren, Ava Seminoff and Gilbert Seminoff, and other family and friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 16th at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct., Little Rock, Ark. 72205. Visitation will be held prior to services starting at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home, (501) 224-2200.
