Georgia Rebecca Bouler Blasingame of Little Rock, walked into Christ's presence in the early morning of August 14. She was born in Drew, Mississippi in 1934 to Wesley and Florence Bouler. Georgia grew up in Hollandale Mississippi and enjoyed living in the small Delta town where she developed life long friendships. There, she enjoyed playing softball and basketball and cheerleading. Georgia met and married the love of her life, Norman Blasingame, in 1953 and they had 3 children, Kathy Green (David), Norman Blasingame Jr., "Bubba" (Clara) and Connie Bracy (Bob). Norm Jr. greeted her in heaven along with a host of other relatives. She and Norman raised their children in North Little Rock and enjoyed many friends through their church. Georgia was active in children's ministry and many bible studies. In her later years, she and Norman continued to enjoy worshiping at Fellowship Bible Church and Christ Community Church in Little Rock. Georgia was a friend to many and always had a kind word to share. Baking southern treats was a way for her to show love to neighbors and friends. If you were the recipient of her banana bread, pecan pie or banana pudding, you were fortunate! She loved the Lord and modeled that love for her children. Her love for her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren was integral to who she was. The joy of the Lord was shown in and through her, even in the difficult times of life. She internalized scripture so much so that even when age began to steal her memory, she continued to be able to quote and apply it at just the right time. She delighted in her many grandchildren: Phillip Machen (Betty), Lindsey Cano, Matthew Blasingame (Jaimee), Joshua Blasingame (Chasity), Jessica Blasingame, Drew Bracy (Marisol) and Alison Bracy. Her great-grandchildren, Kyle Machen, McKayla Machen, Sachi Graham, Saizen Graham, Alexia Cano, Michael Cano, Raegan Blasingame and Ana Sofia Bracy were deeply loved. Her motto for life and her family was "love one another." Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 17, 2018 in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, (501) 661-9111 with Pastor Tim Lundy and Pastor Shelby Smith officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Hills Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. To sign the online guestbook, go to www.griffinleggetthealeyroth.com.
