Iris J McClellan

Iris June Stark Tucker McClellan, age 87, joined her heavenly family with joy on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. She was born on December 12, 1930 to Thelma and Jake Stark in Pottsville, Arkansas. She had one sister and four brothers. She was married to Bob Tucker and had five children. Later in life, June married Curtis McClellan and gained six bonus children. With that many children to love, she leaves the legacy of being the most loving mother ever! June also dearly loved her 23 grandchildren. Born a Baptist, June embraced her in-laws' faith and became a Methodist. God was the center of her life. She was a kind, loving, caring and quiet person whose faith in God led many to want to be in her presence. One of her great joys was singing the hymns she learned as a child and playing the piano. She loved her garden; plants just seemed to blossom at her touch. She loved to travel with Curtis whether in their RV or on a cruise. June enjoyed sharing those trips with her family through her photographs, and there were many photographs! She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Curtis McClellan. She is survived by her children, Patti (Jim) Womble of Little Rock, Ark., Dr. Andy (Laurie) Tucker of Charlotte, N.C.; Steve (Ileana) Tucker of Taylor, Ark., and Mike (Judy) Tucker of Salina, Kan.. June is also survived by her bonus children, Karen (Terry) Smith, Jackie (Tim) Sherry, Jaquita Greenfield, Etsuko McClellan and Harrol McClellan. Her family would like to thank the staff of Presbyterian Village for their many years of devoted care. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Morrilton United Methodist Church with visitation to follow. Burial will be at Bowden Cemetery in Pottsville, Ark.
