Daniel J. Hanley DVM

DANIEL J. HANLEY, DVM, 67, of Little Rock, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2018, in Temple, Texas. Dan was born on March 14, 1951 in Topeka, Kansas. He was the son of Dennis and Maxine Hanley. Dan attended Washburn University, Class of 1974, and graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982 and was licensed to practice in Kansas and Arkansas. He was an equine veterinarian in Pulaski County for 36 years. He was known for his knowledge, passion, and love for his job and the horses under his care. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Georgette, of Little Rock; his mother, Maxine of Derby, Kansas; his sister, Kris Johnson (Randy) also of Derby, Kansas; one brother-in-law, Richard Guerine of Melrose Park, Illinois; four nieces, and six great-nieces and nephews. Dan previously made the decision to become an organ donor to give others the gift of life. With heavy hearts, his family honored his wishes this past Sunday. Arrangements for a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
