Laura Lee Grigsby Cowan

Laura Lee Grigsby Cowan, 48, of Batesville passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018. She was born on June 26, 1970 to Ben and Beverly Ann (Davies) Grigsby. Laura is a 1988 graduate of Southside High School, a veteran of the U.S. Army, where she served as a Specialist, and a 2004 graduate of Lyon College, where she received her bachelor's degree in arts as a history major. She is preceded in death by her father; maternal grandparents, John Davies and Laura May Davies; and her paternal grandparents, William H. Grigsby and Ida Lee Grigsby. Laura is survived by her mother; one son, Hunter Cowan of Batesville, one brother, Spencer Grigsby of Batesville; one grandchild, Madelyn Kaylee Cowan; two nephews Jace Grigsby and Hudson Grigsby; and aunt and uncle Roger and Becky Mannasmith of Marysville, Ohio. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Batesville on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 424 E.
