Bonnie Hurdle Bynum, 77, formerly of Searcy, passed away on August 18 at her home in Little Rock. She was born on January 30, 1941, in Marshall County, Mississippi. She graduated from Baptist School of Nursing and was a registered nurse for 50 years. Her nursing career was dedicated to the healthcare of women and children, both in hospital settings and at the White County Health Department. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Dan Bynum, daughters Dana (Doyle) Mayton of Shelbyville, Ky., Marci (Jeff) Robertson of North Little Rock, and Amy (Brett) Burton of Searcy; grandchildren, Turner Mayton, Kinley Burton, Emma Burton, and Avery Robertson; brother James (Carol) Hurdle, and sister Helen Mason of Holly Springs, Mississippi; six nieces, five nephews, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and her steadfast companion, Charlie the Pug. She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Viola Hurdle, brother, Robert Hurdle, and brother-in-law, James Mason. Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, and traveling. She was an amazing cook and was renowned for her homemade cinnamon rolls. Visitation will be 5–7 p.m. Wednesday at Powell Funeral Home, Searcy; funeral Thursday, 11 a.m., First United Methodist Church - Pyeatt Chapel, Searcy.
