Charles David Harrison

Charles David Harrison, age 74, of Arkadelphia passed from this life on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at his home. He was born June 4, 1944 in Eudora, the son of the late Charles and Marguerite Deaver Harrison. Charles was a self employed truck driver and a member of Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church. He joined the United States Marines the day after high school graduation. Charles attended Henderson State University after his service to the Marines. He joined the Marine Reserves and later went into the United States Air Force Reserves where he retired as Chief Master Sergeant from the 307 Red Horse Unit. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Gloria Harrison, three other siblings that died in infancy, and one grandchild, Alec Littlefield. Survivors are his wife, Sharon Chambers Harrison of Arkadelphia, one son, David (Tonya) Harrison of Arkadelphia, one daughter, Shannon (Charlie) Littlefield of Nashville, two brothers, Paul Harrison of Fordyce and Ronnie (Judy) Harrison of Arkadelphia, one sister, Kay Harrison of Denton, Texas, four grandchildren, Blair (Justin) Nutt of Arkadelphia, Victoria Littlefield of LaSalle, Ill., Allie Littlefield of Nashville, and Dalton Guthrie of Arkadelphia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Ronnie Hardin officiating. Interment with full military honors will be held at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church. Final arrangements are entrusted to The Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. Visit www.welchfh.net to sign the guest book.
