Phillip Dean Harvey

Phillip Dean Harvey, 67, of Little Rock, formerly of Magnolia, met his Lord and Savior face to face on Monday, August 27, 2018. Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Blanche Harvey. Phil loved his family and treasured his time with them even though it was not long enough. He was a loving husband to his wife and for the last seven years his caregiver, Helen Douglas Harvey. He loved his children and was always proud of them; his daughter, Laurie Cox and her husband, Daniel, of Little Rock, and sons, Grant Harvey of Fayetteville, Ark., and Scott Harvey of White Hall, Ark. The lights of his life were his grandchildren, Shawn Douglas Cox and Anna Kate Cox. He loved them fiercely, and they adored him. He is survived by his brothers, Ron Harvey and his wife, Judi, of Springdale, Ark. and Randy Harvey of White Hall, Ark., as well as nieces and nephews. He leaves behind a host of extended family and faithful friends to remember his warm smile and kind words. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 30 at First Baptist Church Little Rock Chapel, 62 Pleasant Valley Drive, immediately followed by a celebration of life at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Phil's memory can be made to The Baptist Preparatory School Missions Week. This is an annual missions event when students serve Christ locally, nationally, and internationally sharing the love and saving grace of Jesus. Arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home, (501) 224-2200. Phil's online guestbook may be signed at www.littlerockfuneralhome.com.
