Dawn Carter Cornelius

Dawn Carter Cornelius, 53, of Pleasant View, Tennessee died Monday, August 20, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Cornelius was born June 10, 1965 in Ruston, Louisiana. She was a very talented and highly respected singer and songwriter. She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Robert D. Carter, Sr., stepfather, Grayson Spears, and nephew, Austin Carter. Survivors include her husband, Ron Cornelius of Pleasant View; mother, Gerri Spears of Texarkana; brothers, Duane Carter (Denise); David Carter (Stacy); Mark Spears; Don Spears (Kim); sisters Debbie Hull (Chris); Christine Lunsford; and Linda Branham (Rick). A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Texarkana, HandsOn Texarkana, or your favorite animal shelter.
