Mildred Fortune

Mildred "Babe" Payer Fortune, 96, passed away Wednesday. She was preceded in death by husband, Woodrow Fortune; grandson, Allen Fortune; sister, Pauline Appleby; and brother, Allen Payer. Survivors are children, Barbara (Worthy) Sykes of Benton, Larry (Rita) Fortune of Casscoe and Dennis (Becky) Fortune of Stuttgart; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation is 1 p.m. Friday with funeral services following at 2 p.m. at Hunter's Chapel Church in Casscoe with Pastor Ted Edmondson officiating.
