Mickey Wayne Head

Mickey Wayne Head, 70, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, went to be with his Heavenly Father after a lengthy illness, on Tuesday, January 30, 2018. Until retirement, Mickey was employed by Turnils, USA. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Monday, February 5th, at 11 a.m. at Sunrise Baptist Church, 3000 Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville, Ga. 30045. In lieu of visitation, his family will receive guests for fellowship after the service. Mickey was born on February 9th, 1947 in Wynne, Arkansas. He was the only child of the late Edwin and Dixie Head. He attended Arkansas High School, home of the Razorbacks., and college at Southern Arkansas University. He is survived by his wife, Deanie Head; daughters, Rachel Muncy, Stacey Swindle, Sarah Meads, all of Maumelle, Arkansas; stepsons, Michael Auten & Eric Auten, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; stepdaughter, Nicole Merrell, of Bethlehem, Ga.; grandchildren, Hannah, Hattie, Hope, Ramey, Noah, Jacob, Levi, Spencer, Abigail and Macy; step-granddaughter, Brittany; step-grandsons, Bradley and Samuel; great-grandchildren, Jonah, Cowen, Jolie; cousins, Mike and Connie Cline of Cherry Valley, Arkansas; Margaret Howe (pre-deceased) also of Cherry Valley; and many nieces and nephews. Mickey loved his family, and was a wonderful father and grandfather. He was an avid outdoors man who loved fishing, rafting, boating, anything to do with the water, but was best known for his briskets and barbeque skills. No one left his table hungry.
