Jerome Knox "Jerry" Williams

Jerome Knox "Jerry" Williams, 75 of Rogers passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018. He was born November 23, 1942 in Columbus, Ohio to the late John Rudolph Williams and Ruth Dalton Williams. Jerry was also preceded by his son, Jason Williams; his siblings, Phyllis Stover, John Williams Jr and Jim Williams. Following graduation, he entered his 1st career proudly serving his country for nearly 30 years in the US Marine Corps. Jerry continued working with data system management with J.B. Hunt for another 20 years before retiring. He remained active with the Bella Vista Marine Corps League including serving as Vice-Commandant, time shared with his family and bass fishing. He was a member of the Bear Creek Bass Club. Jerry especially enjoyed sharing his love of fishing by teaching youth and especially the developmentally disabled how to fish. For 55 years he was the loving husband of Rose Marie Hurst Williams who survives. Mr. Williams is also survived by his daughter, Carol Dresser (Alan) of Spring Hill, Kansas; dear family friends, Tong Puang (Lydia Hsieh) and their daughters, Serena and Sophia Puang; extended family members; his fellow Marines and associates. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00pm Monday, February 5th and his Funeral service will be at 11:00am Tuesday, February 6th, both in the Chapel of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Interment with full military honors will follow in Fayetteville National Cemetery.
