Veotis Owens, 75, of Kansas City, Mo departed this life Monday, February 5, 2018. Mr. Owens formerly of Wrightsville, Arkansas attended JC Cook High School and later moved to Kansas City, Missouri. Both parents of Mr. Owens, Robert and Zeola Owens and three brothers Earl, Jimmy and Floyd preceded him in death. He is survived by wife, Celeste, daughter, Gina and son Stephen, eight sisters, Gladys White, Quintella Jones, Pecolia Owens, Veora Saunders, Margie Hadley, Linda Owens, Bridgette Norman and Tracey Owens and one brother, Spencer. Services will be visitation from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral 11 a.m. at Greater Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church 4600 Cleveland Ave., Kansas City, MO followed by burial at Blue Ridge Lawn Cemetery.
