JUDITH FAY LOZAR STEEN, age 76, died February 15, 2018, after a long battle with cancer. Her family and friends were with her, by her side, as her suffering and pain ended. She was born May 16, 1941 to Fay and Irene Lozar in Garett Bridge, Arkansas. Her parents; sister, Ellen Jackson preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Herman Leslie Steen, Jr., of Maumelle, daughters Cherri Leisenring (Alan) of Rogers and Carmen Brown (Dale) of Little Rock, step-children Heather Anne Steen of Atlanta, Georgia; James Leslie Steen (Heather Lyn) of Katy, Texas; Surviving grandchildren and step grandchildren are Zachary Alan and William Mark Leisenring of Rogers, Arkansas; James Harrison, Henry Cannon, Millicent Baker and Shepherd Michael Steen of Katy, Texas and a host of nieces and nephews. Judy graduated from Dumas High School as Salutatorian. After High School, she attended school to become a Radiology Technician and began a lifelong career in medicine. Beginning at Baptist Hospital and later moving to Arkansas Cardiology, in 1971, where she was able to apply her x-ray skills in cardiology working alongside Dr. James E. Boger. She retired from her medical career after 33 years of service to Arkansas Cardiology, providing a lifetime of care, compassion, and comfort to her patients and always striving to learn from the physicians she worked alongside. As member of Park Hill Presbyterian Church of NLR, she found her second career after retirement, tirelessly giving of her time, love of Christ, and her hearts desire to make a difference in her church community. She served on many committees and was Clerk of the Sessions. During her time at Park Hill Presbyterian Church, she was nominated to be a board member for Presbyterian Village. She was President of the Presbyterian Village Board of Directors and most recently, President of the Presbyterian Village Foundation Board of Directors. She participated in Presbyterian Women, having gatherings in her home, serving on the Coordinating Team of Presbyterian Women for many years. She continued her service through P.E.O., the philanthropic organization for the education of Woman, holding several officer positions during her years of participation. Judy loved to read, was an avid book club member. Played her hand at bridge. A consummate homemaker and part-time photographer, she loved to entertain family and friends. Always the joys of her life were her family, especially her children and grandchildren, her church family and her faith in God, and her devotion to her loving husband. Through all these connections, many people loved her beyond measure and she loved them back with open arms, a smile, and constant words of compassion to heal one's soul. Visitation will be Sunday, February 18, at 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., No. Little Rock, Arkansas. ----Funeral Service will be Monday, February 19, at 10:00 A.M. at Park Hill Presbyterian Church, 3520 John F.
