Ethel Imogene "Jean" Gibson

Ethel Imogene "Jean" Gibson, 89, of Little Rock, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018, days shy of her 90th birthday. Born March 22, 1928 in McLemoresville, Tenn. to the late Bennie Allen Younger and Mary Hodgson Younger, Jean was a consummate daughter, sister, wife, mother, and professional. During her life Jean was an assistant at the Pontiac State Mental Hospital, bookkeeper, amusement business owner, as well as an accomplished interior designer. Jean's lifelong passions were family and friends, and cooking; she also believed in the power of a smile. Jean is survived by her grandson, Ronald "Shawn" Hepler and wife, Jessica; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Sarah Hepler; nieces, Sherry Dexter, Donna Jean Johnson and Robin Towler; and many close friends. A memorial service will be Thursday, March 1 at 10 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Court (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock, 72205, (501) 224-2200.
