Max Lincoln "Bo" Fairley Sr.

Max Lincoln "Bo" Fairley Sr., 92 of Osceola, Ark., passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 in Memphis, Tenn. He was born July 7, 1925 in Osceola to Omer M. and Lettie May (Brantley) Fairley. Bo served as a Staff Sgt. in the United States Army in Europe during WWII, and along with his unit was awarded a Bronze Star. He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas, and retired after a 35 year sales career with Swift & Co. (Conagra). Bo was a faithful servant and lifetime member of the First Christian Church of Osceola. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and three sisters. Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Bennie Evelyn Kunze Fairley; son, Max Lincoln (Mary Helen) Fairley, Jr., daughter, Judy Lynn Fairley; grandchildren, Phillip Lincoln (Shelby) Fairley, Warren Steed Fairley, Paul Edward Fairley and many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 10, at the First Christian Church at 2 p.m. with Pastor Randy Jumper officiating. Burial will be at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Phillip Lincoln Fairley, Warren Steed Fairley, Paul Edward Fairley, Lindsey Fairley, Thomas Eldon Fairley, John Brantley Ellzey and William Allen Percifull. Honorary pallbearers will be David and Luke Carney and the faithful men of First Christian Church. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service.
