Ruth Lanier

Ruth Lanier, 94, of Little Rock was born January 27, 1923 in Little Rock and passed away on Sunday, January 7th, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents Odis and Osie (McCumpsey) Tyra as well as her husband Frank Lanier and her two sons Carl and Michael Lanier, daughter-in-law Margaret Lanier, son-in-law Tommy Bartlett, brother Arnold Tyra and her sister Alene Ashley. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Bartlett of Little Rock and son, Franklin Lanier (Vicky Shellnut) of Hensley, daughter-in-law, Janie Lanier of Benton, sister, Stella Pearson (J.W.) brother, Cecil Johnson and sister-in-law Wilene Tyra as well as nine\9 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren also a host of family and friends. She enjoyed shopping and working in her yard. A visitation will be held at Pinecrest Funeral home in Alexander, on Thursday, January 12, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. and a graveside service will be on Friday, January 13, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Ironton Cemetery in Little Rock with Bro. Sidney Thompson officiating.
