Monda Ruth Underwood Oldham

Monda Ruth Underwood Oldham, age 83 of Searcy, died Monday, January 8, 2018 in Searcy, Arkansas. Born October 18, 1934 in Carbon, Texas to Henry B. Underwood and Sible Ruth Johnson Underwood, she was a home maker, minister's wife, mother, artist, and a good friend to many. She retired as an Art Instructor from Harding Academy. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Bill Oldham of Searcy; two sons, Clifford Oldham, Bill W. Oldham, Jr. (Casandra); one daughter-in-law, Vaneesa Oldham; eight grandchildren, Caitie Oldham Riggs (John), Joshua Oldham (Tetyana), Jonathan Oldham (Lisa), Tristan Oldham, Gareth Oldham, Korlan Oldham, Natasha Pumphrey (Craig), Anatasia Iglesias (Juan); three great-grandchildren; one brother, Don Underwood; two sisters, Tincey Gorman, Edna Ann Powell; and one aunt, Ina Reynolds. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Underwood; two infant children; son, Brenton C. Oldham; brother, Milton Underwood and his wife Verna Dean; sister-in-law, Dolores Underwood; and brothers-in-law, Sam Gorman and Kenneth Powell. Visitation is Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Searcy. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at West Side Church of Christ.
