Kenneth R. Shoup

Kenneth R. Shoup, 84, of Bella Vista, Ark. passed away January 14, 2018. He was born March 7, 1933 to Berneice and Frank Shoup in Webb City, Mo. Ken proudly served in the US Navy as a corpsman during the Korean War. He graduated from Pittsburg State University with a degree in Biology and Chemistry. Ken worked in Aerospace most of his life. He was employed with Douglas Aircraft at Cape Canaveral and retired with a division of Lockheed in the Dallas area. Ken loved music and singing. As a member of the Bella Vista Community Church he sang in the church choir and also the Bella Vista Men's Chorus. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Ken served as a member of the Village Waste Water Board of Directors. Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Harold Shoup and sister,Janice Morton. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 60 years, Shirley; daughter, Kimberly Lowry of Bella Vista; son, Chris (Pamela) Shoup of San Antonio; brothers, Charles (Kay) Shoup, Larry Shoup; sister, Doris Beckham; grandchildren, Heather (Cody) Walker, Alex Shoup and Andrew Shoup and his best buddy Albert. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 20th at 1 p.m. at Bella Vista Community Church with Dr. Jeff Reed officiating. Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.
