Jeffrey Charles Akins

Jeffrey Charles Akins, 31, of Cabot, passed away January 15, 2018. He was born to Ronald & Judy Akins Sr. on May 24, 1986 in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Jeffrey attended New Life Church in Cabot. He was a 2004 Honor Graduate of Jacksonville High School. During his time there, he enjoyed being "pitcher" for the high school's baseball team as well as being a member of the marching band. He continued on and obtained his Bachelor of Science & Business Administration degree at the University of Central Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles & Rebecca Akins; and his aunt, Deborah Akins Hope. He is survived by his loving parents, Ronald & Judy Akins Sr.; his grandparents, Jimmie & Gloria Burgess; his brother, Ronny & Hollie Akins of Conway; his fiance', Amy Rambo Belew, and her daughters, Lillian and Tate; his aunts and uncles, Dan & Kay Akins of Pottsville, Cary & Dawn Porterfield of Ward, Jim & Glenda Burgess of Jacksonville, Steve Burgess of Jacksonville; and a host of many cousins and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, January 19, 2018 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills at 2 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
