Minnie Mae Jenkins Farr

Mrs. Minnie Mae Jenkins Farr, 96, of Marvell, Ark. the second daughter of the late Columbus Jenkins and Effie Moore Jenkins, was born in Marvell, Arkansas on July 23, 1921. She departed this life on January 11, 2018. She married Earl Farr on February 8, 1940 and from this union 15 children were born. Her husband of 65 years and three of their children, Marie, Isaiah, and E.C., preceded her in death. Mrs. Farr accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior in 1932 at Mount Shelby M.B. Church where Rev. John Thurman was pastor. She remained a faithful and dedicated member until health challenges prevented her from attending. She is survived by her loving and devoted children: Clementine Kelley (John), Bobbie Sanders (Clinton), Zella Smith (Melvin), Earl Farr Jr. (Dorothy), Carl Farr, Ceasarene Green (Charles), Calvin Farr (Regina), Elowese Jenkins (George), Jacqueline Banks (Chauncey), Quenton Farr (Rosemary), Wiley Farr, Victor Farr (Dana), and Frances Farr, wife of E.C.(deceased), 46 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and extended family. Visitation will be 5-6:30 p.m. January 19, 2018 at Twin City Church of Christ, 1615 US 49 W., West Helena, Ark. 72390. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on January 20, 2018 at Twin City Church of Christ followed by Repast at the same location. Burial is after the Repast at the Mt. Shelby Cemetery, Marvell, Arkansas 72366 by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff, Ark. Her body will lie in-state, Saturday, 10:15 a.m. until service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made payable to the Farr Jenkins Mt. Shelby Memorial Scholarship Fund or the Mt Shelby Cemetery Maintenance Fund.
