Travis Walker Brock

Travis Walker Brock, 76, of Searcy, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018. Born Dec. 27, 1941, in Pangburn to the late Samuel Walker and Ima D. Horten Brock. Travis retired from the United States Army as a Drill Sargent First Class, after 25 years of service. He served one tour of duty in Korea and two tours in Vietnam and was the recipient of three Purple Hearts. He was also awarded four meritorious service medals and earned three National Defense Service Medals, his Combat Infantry Badge and Expert Infantry Badge. He served with the Sheriff's Office in Pulaski County Missouri for 12 years and, upon his return to Arkansas, as an Auxiliary Deputy in White County. Travis was a member of the Masonic Lodge #483 in Pangburn, still a standing member of the Waynesville, Mo., Lodge # 375 and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. He was retired from Brock Excavation, loved horses, hunting and fishing. Survivors: Wife, Belva Brock; six children, Travis Brock Jr., Anthony Brock (Dagmar), Darrel Smith (Stephanie), Ashley King (Jacob), Cathy Flynt and Laura Smith; siblings, Charles Brock (Shirley), Johnny Brock (Cindy), Ronnie Brock (Martha), Mary Nell Hamilton, Carolyn Jones (Laverl) and Patricia Davidson (Rick); 16 grandchildren, Mason Brock, Logan Brock, Tyler Brock, Blake Brock, Kamiryn Brock, Emily King, Ray King, Walker Smith, Gillian King, Caleb McGehee, Kenzington Jarrett, Cache McGehee, Jackson Smith, Paislee Smith, Liliana Smith and Aiden Vela; three great-grandchildren, Alexis Brock, Alera Brock and Lincoln Brock; and his best friend, Johnny Hutchins. Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ray Brock, Billy Wayne and Patrick Brock; and grandson, Zeke King. Visitation: Saturday, 6-8 p.m. Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, Powell Funeral Chapel in Bald Knob.
