Charles Drake

Charles Drake, age 83, of Benton, passed away Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018. He was born May 4, 1934, in Vicksburg, Mo. Charles was a U.S. Army Veteran and a truck driver for A.B.F. He was a member of Bauxite Missionary Baptist Church. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Elise Drake and a step-daughter, Robbie Mobley. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Drake; son, Timothy Drake (Sheri); three step-sons, Michael O. Ford (Janet), Douglas E. Ford (Stevie) and Kim M. Ford (Deidra); 11 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, at Ashby Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Pine Crest Memorial Park. Bro. Melvin Burris will be officiating. On-line guest book at www.ashbyfuneralhome.com.
