Harold Al Polsgrove

Harold L. "Al" Polsgrove, age 73, of Russellville, passed away at home on Friday, Jan. 19, 2018. He was born on Sept., 6, 1944, in Popular Bluff, Mo., to Harold Morris and Norma Lee Polk Polsgrove. He received degrees from Southern Baptist College, now Williams Baptist College, University of the Ozarks, University of Central Arkansas, and University of Arkansas. He coached at Lincoln, Alma and Bryant school districts and was a retired school administrator last serving as the Bryant Jr. High School Principal. He was a lifetime member of the Arkansas Activities Association, a member of the United Commercial Travelers #665 and a member of Second Baptist Church, Russellville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Lee Polsgrove. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Nordin Polsgrove, of Russellville; two daughters, Andrea Polsgrove and Angela Haynie; two grandchildren, Hunter Polsgrove and Presley Haynie, all of Bryant, Arkansas; one sister and brother-in-law, Vicky and Tim Tesreau of Doniphan, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Barbara Polsgrove of Jonesboro; a father-in-law, Wayne Nordin, of Russellville; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, at Second Baptist Church in Russellville, officiated by the Rev. Ardell Polk and the Rev. Jim Lagrone. Burial will be in East Point Cemetery, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. Active pallbearers are Danny Seal, Leo Olberts, Dick Willis, Josh Tesreau, Christopher Polsgrove, Tim Meimerstorf, John Sechrest, and Bob Hope. Honorary pallbearers are his coffee drinking buddies, Ken Higgins, and Al Ray Taylor. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, from 5-6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
