Edythe Irene Parker Miller, age 89, of Fayetteville, died Monday, January 22, 2018. She was born January 2, 1929 in Hayward, Oklahoma, the daughter of Eliseph Isaac and Edythe S. Hougland Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 61 years, Arthur Thomas Miller Jr.; a son, Charles Arthur Miller; two brothers, George Parker and Roscoe Parker; a sister, Arabelle Helen Parker and two grandchildren, Robert Swanson, Jr. and Joshua Bo Swanson. She was a member of Genesis Church (formerly Wiggins Memorial United Methodist Church), the Baptist Ford Extension Club where she was a lifetime member and the Busy Bees Home Demonstration Club. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Elaine Swanson and husband Robert of West Fork; two sons, Samuel Wayne Miller and wife Cheryl of Farmington and James Edward Miller and wife Beth of Fayetteville; a brother, Wayne A. Parker of Tulsa, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Margaret Bandy, Tracy Swanson, Lisa Stafford, Michael Swanson, Miranda Miller Tipton, Amber Miller, Jordan Miller, Morgan Miller and Mason Miller; eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Moore's Chapel. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday at Genesis Church in Fayetteville followed by burial at Miller Cemetery in Fayetteville, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
